I am enclosing a letter by Billie Mae Sargent. This blessed sister in the Lord was moved upon by God to purchase a 48″ by 48″ oil painting of The Plumbline and bring it to the Moravian Falls House of Prayer.
She did not realize – nor did we – that it was a prophetic marker sent by God to mark a vital point in time. God dropped the plumbline on Prayer Mountain on the day of its arrival.
The Lord, who at times gives outside confirmation through unrelated events, established this prophetic marker through a completely unrelated group of people. The fact that a plumbline had been dropped in Moravian Falls was even prophetically mentioned as having occurred by a prophetic voice within this group. (They did not know of this painting.) But those of us who understood the prophetic confirmation were both saddened and rejoiced. Our God is amazing.
Here is Billie Mae’s complete letter. I have added it in its entirety because it is a major part of the spiritual history of Moravian Falls. To God be the glory.
“Ms. Sargent wrote:
Dear Anna,
As per your request I have endeavored to write the tale of my journey
in acquiring and presenting to you the painting called Plumbline.
Here it is:
I have to go back to where the thought of a plumb line began. In 2017, Justin Abraham was ministering at Seattle
Revival Center, the church I attended and also worked at, at the time.
He went around the room after inviting everyone to line up.
I waited my turn, poised and expectant to receive a clear word from the Lord. He said to me “you are a plumbline.” I was
inspired to search out what that means. I read about it in Zechariah 4:10 which speaks of “…not by might, not by power but by my Spirit sayeth the Lord…” and how the plumb line will
be in the hand of Zerubbabel. It spoke of judgement and righteousness. I was beginning to learn. I held these things in my heart.
I had since left the church and moved to Arizona. I heard of a conference happening at SRC in
Newcastle, WA and wanted to go. There would be many great speakers there and I could see family and friends.
During the conference, Dinah Rau, who is a prophetic painter and often paints during worship there, began to paint the Plumbline. I watched her progress from
service to service, sensing the anointing and watching her be guided along. After she finished, she added that painting to many she had on display in the foyer. I approached her and asked
the price she was asking for it. I told her I was very interested in buying it but would do so when and if the Lord provides the finances to do so.
Many years had passed when I came upon the book The Heavens Opened by Anna Rountree. Upon reading the part of Anna seeing the Angel dropping the plumb line to earth and how it
would not be removed, I thought of this painting. and how, truly, this must have been similar to what it would have looked like in her encounter. I thought how wonderful it would be to get
that painting to her. It seemed to me that this painting shouldn’t be left in someone’s house for only a few to know about but should be available to all.
I was convinced it was my task to make that happen.
At this particular time, I was about to receive a settlement from 3 car accidents that occurred in my life; timed at one per week for three weeks.
The first one was a car backed up into me and while I was getting my car fixed and in a rental car, someone rear ended me. The third and final accident happened when I was a passenger in a Ford Ranger truck.
I offered to help and elderly friend of mine who wasn’t sure if he could find his way home. Since several other friends of mine were meeting at his house that night, I would be sure to have a ride home so decided to ride along.
We were going about 45 miles an hour down a two lane highway when out of nowhere a person pulled out in front of us. He had no time to stop and swerved to avoid her as best he could which
caused the impact to be my corner of the vehicle.
Both cars were totaled. This happened a year and a half ago and now the settlement from the ordeal was about to arrive.
So: “What the enemy meant for evil, God will use for good.” Genesis 50:20
Knowing funds were coming, I texted Dinah and due to a record of that, this is the text:
“Hello Dinah. This is Billie, what has become of the Plumbline painting? If it’s still available I am interested in getting that to a place where it can minister to people. I am reading the book
by Anna Rountree that speaks of how God dropped the plumb line on earth and it won’t be removed until everything comes into alignment. This is the vision I too had about this painting.
If it’s available, what price are you willing to accept for it?”
The next day we spoke on the phone and she said it is available and that it was a very
weighty painting and that she couldn’t sell it to just anyone but that she could sell it to me. She then
told me the price and we discussed how and when I could fly to Washington to pick it up.
I became very excited and expectant. One night, shortly after that, I had a dream where two of my friends and I were
giddily playing together as we involved ourselves in this project.
When I awoke, I knew that I needed to invite these two friends, who live there in Washington, to join me when I came up to meet with Dinah. We all knew each other well so they were more
than happy to join in this venture. I then called another close friend who also lives there and I began to tell her that
I was buying the painting Plumbline and that I was going to bring it to
North Carolina and give it to Anna Rountree, the moment the words came out of my mouth, I heard a ding on my phone and looked down at the caller ID which said Anna Rountree.
I was so amazed knowing that Anna was not in my contacts so this had to indeed be her returning my call from the day prior having found her phone number on her website and left
a message. I nearly hung up on my friend but quickly said, “I’ve got to go, it’s Anna Rountree.” When I answered the phone I found it to be Sam, Anna’s volunteer. How happy I was
she understood the voice message I left and that there would be a receiving of my gift when I arrived. The journey was beginning.
I arrived in Seattle and was picked up by my friend Sandra and we went to pick up Sam, who took the time off work
to join us. I find it so interesting that all three of us ladies go by
the name of Sam. As my dream confirmed when we arrived at Dinah’s studio we laughed and joyed over all that was
taking place knowing these things are bigger than we are and
what a delight it is to be following in the Lord’s will and accomplishing His purposes.
I came back the next day to pick up the painting because they needed time to take it apart and to create the
Document of Authenticity. I brought a travel bag with the stamp Studio Equipment on it and thought this would be sufficient to house the travel need of the painting and disassembled frame.
We found it was not long enough for the task. I was not deterred and thought God will supply the end cap. All I need to do is cut a slit in one end so that I can get the majority of the tube with the painting inside.
Dinah secured the items tightly together so they wouldn’t move around and I left in faith; believing the need would be met to make this work. As I was driving back to Sandra’s house,
I looked to the Lord as to where I was to go and get something to cover the end of the bag. He dropped in my heart to go to St. Vincent De Paul and I would find what I needed.
I’m adding this part because it is so hilarious that when I arrived there and went straight to the place it was, I found a
neoprene pouch that was exactly the right dimensions to cover the end of the bag and tuck into the slit on the end and with the straps that came with it,
which were long enough to attach securely to the wooden slats of the frame
inside the bag and cover completely the protruding parts. The wonder of this is due to the fit and the stamp on the pouch that sad Bump Armor. Now – who makes a shoulder
bag and names it Bump Armor? I laughed. I flew back home to Arizona.
I was getting so excited to get this painting to Anna as quickly as possible and was planning my next flight from Arizona to North Carolina. But then, I was held back a week when
I was informed that my daughter was releasing her new music project called Bloom by Sarah Emerson. I realized this painting would have to wait so I could go to California and support
her release. I’m so glad I did! She is indeed blossoming in her gift of songs unto the Lord and it was a great pleasure to see how God is raising her up in this area.
I was now rested and ready to head to Moravian Falls. I could again see the hand of God guiding and providing all along the way. I knew I would need certain tools to put the painting
back together so I packed a canvas stretching tool I had ordered off of Amazon, along with a staple gun, staples and jute rope I would need to finalize the project. I was careful to not
add too much to the bag with the painting so as not to risk damage in travel. So I put the stretch tool in my carry on luggage. As I was going through security, my luggage was flagged.
As it turns out, the tool was two inched too long to go in a carry on. I was instructed I would have to check it or leave it behind. I explained to him that I had checked the bag with the
painting in which I would need this tool. I think he realized that checking a second bag would be costly and with
God showing grace in his heart, he let it slide and sent me on my way.
Before I headed out, I thought of a friend of mine named John, who I worked with when employed as a custodian at SRC. John did the maintenance. Knowing he was a handy man and
had moved to Charlotte, he would be the perfect person to help me put this painting back together once I arrived there. He and his wife Connye stepped up to help me out and we had
great fellowship as we worked on it. When it was time to place it in the car I rented, we both were amazed at how such a large painting could lay so perfectly flat in the back of a station
wagon; well chosen for such a time as this.
When I arrived at the prayer meeting Anna hosts every Saturday called Prayer on the Mountain; I was careful not to bring the painting yet but that I could present the Certificate of Authenticity
so that she could dictate when it would be received. When the time was right, it seemed appropriate for Steve, Sam’s husband, to carry it in, now realizing he was a carpenter and truly
understood the power of the Plumbline.
May God continue to have His way in the truth revealed that there is a plumb line dropped on earth that will remain until all is accomplished. Amen.”
Sincerely and with much adoration,
Billie May Sargent
