Recently I, along with one of our ministry assistants, was up on Prayer Mountain (near the platform).
Suddenly, angelic – singing could be heard. Walking up the road – clumped together like a bunch of asparagus spears –was a group of angels. They were so tightly packed that those seeing them might wonder how they had breath enough to walk and sing.
Like a Text
Their song was short – like a text or singing telegram.
The camels are coming – hurrah, hurrah
The camels are coming – hurrah, hurrah
Thrilling really – but why? Because camels mean provision. During these days, it is wonderfully reassuring to have our God send a message that He is supplying the needs of His Chapel.
Also – the Hebrew word for “camel” has many meanings. One of these meanings is “loving kindness.”
This meaning is probably the most suitable here. Greater “loving kindness” is coming to those who come to Prayer Mountain to meet with God Almighty.
An Even More Important Message
But our Lord sent an even more important message through the angels. The message came through the way the group was so tightly packed. His provision is in direct response to our loving treatment of those who come to meet with him in this place.
1 Peter 1:22 – “Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart.” (NASV)
Luke 6:38 – “Give and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure – pressed down” (like when you are packing a cup) “shaken together”, (like when you wish to pack it completely. You shake the container to fill in the air pockets) “and running over. For by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you in return.” (NASB)
