Many prayer groups are given specific assignments – for which our Father endows them with specific anointings. I was part of a church whose specific assignment was Kansas City. One day a young pastor who was leading prayer in the prayer room proclaimed during public prayer; “Damn you, satan. Go to hell!”
Immediately something huge came in to the prayer room. Because my husband and I had some authority in the prayer room (that was given to us by the leadership) I rose to my feet and began to go after it in tongues. (I should have asked my husband – who was across the room. A married woman going after a spirit of that size in prayer, should not have “taken it on” without my covering.) I forgot this. The spirit came after me and knocked me backwards. (I forgot again.) I stood up and went after it again and it hit me so hard that it knocked the breath out of me. I had to withdraw from the field of battle.
My husband and I went home where I laid down. Almost immediately, we received a call from a mighty prayer warrior in Texas asking us: “What’s wrong?”
I told him that I was under attack from this huge demon. I asked him to “get it off me.” He did.
However, this spirit felt like it had rights because this young pastor proclaimed against angelic majesties a verbal rant. As the Bible indicates – that is illegal spiritually.
The spirit broke the young pastor’s leg and twisted my ankle. Then it went out into the city and broke the legs of several lead pastors in Kansas City.
My husband and I were so new to that congregation that we had no authority to speak to one of the congregation’s pastors. Therefore, I told Bob Jones about what was happening in the city and asked him if he would speak to the young pastor and ask him to repent of railing against angelic majesties. The young pastor was stunned but repented. The breaking of leaders’ legs stopped.
I am telling you this story to demonstrate the fact that prayer meetings can reach far for the good or ill the areas specifically designated by God.
One of the pastors attending the prayer meeting on Prayer Mountain received a vision of this particular prayer group’s prayers NOW reaching the world. That od course is a huge responsibility and we are taking it as such.
The Prophecy #8
Pastor Larry rose to his feet. “The Lord,” he said, “has just given this prayer meeting an outreach to the world!”
Here is the vision he saw. It is the world with prayer reaching from this prayer room in Moravian Falls to the entire world.
