WHAT IS HE DOING

 All of us have been going through a lot during the past years since covid-19 arrived on our shores. Many have even lost family members. God’s beautiful blue planet is in trouble: “wars and rumors” of wars.

I, like you, long for a sweeping revival. I want to see the Holy Spirit rise up and clean up this mess. We are at the point now – where only God can save us. There are too many moving parts. The corruption is no longer on the surface. The corruption is pervasive and deep. As humans we cannot wrap our minds around all of it, for it is worldwide.

One gets to the point of not wanting to hear the news because you feel that allowing the lies, cruelty and trash into your mind it is breaking us down and will eventually make us ill.

Therefore, because we “do” and “do not” want to know what’s going on in this world we are cut off from our usual way of dealing with things. We used to listen to the news and then ask God what we should do. Now we cannot trust anything we hear from even our most trusted sources. It is no longer a two-step process. The usual first step is gone. Now, it’s just straight to God.

Hummmm – that doesn’t sound wrong. That sounds like a “God idea”, in fact.

Are we being driven by God to live by His admonitions through His word?

By golly, it looks like that. We are losing our options but left with “the ancient path.”

“Set your mind on things above, not on things of the earth. For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God” Colossians 3:2

We are being herded like – well, sheep. But it’s not for our destruction but for our good. We have a righteous and loving Shepherd. We have a caring, protective Brother and a consuming fire of a Husband. Jesus is all these to us, so it looks like He’s just helping us awaken to this realization.
