Onward Christian Soldiers

It is a brand new day… for last month I turned 89. I am now on a march to enjoy my 90’s. I am amazed at how well I feel and how excited I am to be alive and still being of use to my heavenly Father.

Living on Prayer Mountain as I do, I do look out my kitchen window to to see my brothers and sisters in Christ walking or driving up the road to the ridge to meet with God and however many of the resident angels He wishes to reveal.  What a joy it is to see them.  Then on each Saturday morning we are blessed and honored to be allowed by God to open the ministry to whom-so-ever passes by to pray together.  Each Saturday, we are amazed that – by the end of the prayer meeting – so many strangers meld into their true identity as family members through Christ.  Can you imagine how exciting it is to be with those who are actually family members with whom you will spend eternity?  Why, it’s like Christmas every Saturday.

Our world is living in momentous times. What with our Christian president, Donald Trump, the Israeli prime minister who was educated in America, and now – an American Pope – you wonder what in heavens name God is up to.  Would it not be wonderful if they formed a three-fold cord for the betterment of this planet?

Of course, each of us alive in these times, has a certain path outlined by God for His purposes.  We are, after all, here for Him – not ourselves.  “The earth is the Lords and the Fullness thereof”. (Psalm 24:1)  We are blesses to be given this earth experience to test and mature us, as well to be given the opportunity to become Sons of God.  The future before us is too glorious to even describe in words.  Whatever our Lord’s plans are for now, the enemy has stirred up a clutch of heathen nations to light enough false fires to slow down the restoration process.

Still, we march on like the children’s song that became an adult classic: Onward Christian Soldiers.  We do not know how we will be used in these coming astounding days.  But we do know we are alive, trained, and more than ready to serve.

“Come, Lord Jesus, Lead Your Christian soldiers on.”
