All that we have endured, all that we have prayed for, is now upon us. We are like athletes that have spent years in training for the Olympics. Now we hear the trumpets blast and see the fireworks explode overhead because we have come to actualizing the purpose for all our tough training.
It is time to “step up to the plate” and “be counted”. Now we need to not just give ourselves to frequent prayer meetings but to be in constant prayer. “The Greatest Generation” gave itself to a short, violent time. We are asked to bare up under a long, deadening pressure that at any moment could break over into catastrophe.
Two different wars. Two different types of warfare. Honestly, the first type of battle is more in the human pattern of “flight or fight’.
We must go against our human nature to remain in a constant state of alarm. Although there are many battles in the Bible, this one alone is spoken of in such detail that it speaks of the consequences of engaging in it. We must go against our basic nature to engage in this type of warfare. How God’s chosen leader has managed to mentally and physically bare up under such relentless worldwide attacks can only be answered: “but God “.
But we who are alive today are just as called and chosen. We are made of the same metal or we would not be here. One of the most remarkable witnesses of a different breed being on this earth at this time occurred when our president was shot. Those in the direct line of fire didn’t run. They did not scatter. They held. There was even someone murdered and yet the others held. Remarkable.
More than anything I have heard or seen, that instinctual reflex that is so different from all we have seen, showed who the Lord is making us.
Holding onto Him, we stand!!! Holding onto Him we “hold.”
My brothers and sisters—ye chosen of the Lord—let us prove Him right in trusting us.
