Being allowed to see and hear the Lord is not always hearts and flowers. Sometimes He chastises.
I am not sure what I was doing that initiated this rebuke. This was nineteen years ago and, indeed, I was living in the flesh about nineteen years-worth more than now. Hopefully, Christ has replaced that flesh.
I considered not showing you this verbal correction, but it is, after all, part of all that was happening on Prayer Mountain and, therefore, part of the interactions possible to all who seek the Lord on this little mountain.
VISION
September 1, 2006 Sunday
The Lord spoke to me: “Let Me proclaim again lest you forget: Obedience places the key into the lock. Perseverance turns the key. Godly zeal pushes the door open. To whom have I entrusted the Keys?”
“To Victory,” I said. (This was the angel that appeared before any others and who proclaimed the intention of our Lord for a house of prayer on Prayer Mountain.)
“What are the keys he holds?”
“The keys to open all needful doors and the keys to the weapons to vanquish all foes,” I replied.
“When will you use them?” the Lord continued.
“When You instruct me to use them?” I asked rather than answered.
“When will you be prepared to use them?” the Lord asked.
“Prepared how?” I asked the Lord.
“Through obedience, perseverance and zeal.” He answered
“Well,” I sighed, “I’m not there yet?”
“Why not?” He asked.
“I cannot think of a reason in this world,” I answered.
“Neither can I,” He answered quietly.
“If you can’t think of excuses for me, I guess I have none, ” I smiled, making much too light of the situation.
The Lord was not amused.
“How long will you excuse the flesh, Anna?”
I sobered quickly: “It sounds as though I have strained Your patience in this.”
The Lord continued: “We are longsuffering, Anna. But enough is enough. I weary of your excuses and flirtations with the flesh. Where is My soldier? Where is My warrior? Have I not defeated all that I might defeat them again through you? If you companion with the flesh, you invite the enemy to feast upon you.”
“I have sinned Lord,” I said, “Wash me clean with the Blood of Jesus. Dear, dear Father forgive me. Strengthen me with Your purpose and might, that I fail You not.”
