Chapter 2 of The Heavens Opened

This month we meet two of the most interesting of the heavenly angels.  The angel of Promises and the angel who looks and talks like a child (but who is anything BUT a child), Crystal Clear.

I had seen the angel of Promises years earlier in the I.C.U. waiting room in Longview, Texas.  It was the middle of the night and I alone was keeping watch, for my father was dying.  My family had called me
to drive down from Kansas City, where my husband and I were living.

In the middle of the night, a tall angel appeared in the doorway.  He had long white wings, wore a white tunic and had short, curly blond hair with lights showing through it.  (At this time in my life I was
unaccustomed to seeing angels.  He just stared at me.)
So I spoke to him:  “The Lord will arise with healing in HIs wings, (that was a slight corruption of the Bible verse).

This angel just kept staring at me.  Finally, he reached across his chest to one of his wings and plucked a single white feather from it.  He handed it to me and then disappeared.  Almost immediately,
the night nurse came in to escort me back to visit my father.

Once in the room, I saw my father hooked up in every way possible, it seemed, to keep him alive.  He himself, was in a coma.  I stood by his bed and placed the angel’s spiritual feather on his chest.
“Daddy,” I said to his body, “this is all I can do.”
Then I went back to the waiting room.
After what seemed to be a very short period of time, the attending nurse came out all aflutter.
My father, it seems, had come out of the coma, pulled out all of the equipment sustaining him and was sitting up in the bed and talking.
My father lived in (what seemed to be) good health for one year and then was back in that I.C.U. ward dying. The angel appeared but when he looked at me, he crossed his arms across his chest.
This seemed to indicate that the one year extension of my father’s life was over and the Lord was taking him home.

When I saw the angel of Promises on the moving sidewalk in heaven, I did not recognize him, however.
The angel Crystal Clear is so unusual, that she will need to speak for herself.
