We know He can. Listen to the tortured passion of our Lord recorded in Luke 13:34-35:
34 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it!
35 “Behold, your house is left to you desolate; and I say to you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!’”
He loves Jerusalem. In this scripture we almost hear Him crying out in a pain that springs from love.
But are there other pieces of land that are hallowed by Him? I do not know if there are many. But I do know of one. This revelation was given on July 23, 2006 (twelve years ago). It is short but very telling.
BEULAH
July 23rd, 2006: Sunday – Prayer Mountain.
I saw a very large canopy. The fabric of the canopy was like fine silk. The posts holding up the canopy were like trees, laced here and there with mountain flowers. Angels stood at the two posts that I was able to see clearly.
“I am betrothed to this land, Anna.” The Lord said. “She is married to Me.”
“I thought that was only possible between you and the land of Israel.”
“As the Bride of Christ is many, so this land is married. She is My own. I have waited for this day and this very hour for her to be seen by all to be chosen by Me and carefully tended. Let her rocks and trees rejoice for they will witness what few places witness.”
“How can land be married?” I asked.
“With man this is impossible. But with God, all things are possible,” He concluded.
There was a very heavy presence of the Lord after He spoke. His presence was almost tangible – as if it had substance. I actually reached out my hand to see if there was a change in the quality of the air – if it was thicker or heavier with His glory.
We rejoiced that the Lord had chosen this little piece of land and has allowed us to be here at this momentous time in its long history.
The loving of land has always seemed strange to me. It is, after all, dirt. Also, dirt, specifically, is one thing we will leave behind – whether we are walking around in it or on it. The desire for more of it or a fierce territorial protection of land already in one’s possession is simply foreign to me… but not to God.
He who is pure spirit has a passion for certain pieces of His dirt. He hovers over it like a mother hen. He protects it like a she bear. He fights for it like a wolverine. He cares. He really cares… when He is married to a piece of land, He is fierce and relentless.
The battle over the piece of land now known as Prayer Mountain has been raging as long as I have lived here (21 years). It has been unrelenting, hand to hand combat with the enemy. About thirty years ago, Bob Jones prophesied a Prayer Chapel would be built there.
Within this structure our Heavenly Father would manifest Himself (all but His face, for the Word tells us that we cannot withstand the glory coming from His face and live, while we are in these bodies). Other prophets have confirmed this also. He loves this little mound and wants to visit it and make Himself available to His children in a more personal way. He, himself, wants to minister to His children. He wants to heal. He wants to restore. He wants to bless.
Well, you can imagine, that with the promise of a greater nearness to God the Father, how many demons have been dispatched to hinder this. Have you ever contemplated the opposition from the hordes of hell against our Lord when Jesus walked this earth? If we have opposition from the enemy, what in the world must it have been like to have all the enemy forces attacking you?
With a location where God Almighty Himself wishes to draw near and with the huge number of angels assigned here already, what sort of enemy opposition do you think is marshalled to hinder such plans going forward?
I have been praying for His desires to be realized for twenty-one years. However, this protracted battle has been a supreme “toughening-up-process”. One of the enemy’s last “ploys” to succeed over our Lord is to “wear down the saints”. Daniel 7:25a – “He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One.” When in a marathon of prayer, we truly need to learn how to rest while we run in order to stay the course. None of us wishes to persevere in prayer and then fail to see the Father have the desires of His heart. We want to “go the distance” and finish strong.
Since we know that the tests we are undergoing now are end-time tests, it is our prayer that the Lord help us so that we will not “fizzle-out” near the end.
I may not have a desire to possess (personal) land, but my Father has a desire to cleanse and make fruitful His land. He wants to come down.
Should our God not have the desires of His heart? Of course, He should – and the least we can do is to fight the good fight in prayer that He may receive the desires of His heart.
